Small Adjustments

Veterans & Military Families: Leveraging your background to provide tailored programs addressing PTSD, reintegration, and resilience.

Communities of Color: Addressing disparities in access and stigma within African American and minority communities.

Rural Populations: Where access to counseling and mental health resources is limited.

Clear Minds, Strong Lives

Why this matters — Evidence shows that mental health education and skill-building in communities like this lead to:

Increased understanding and reduced stigma, making individuals more likely to seek help early.

Improved resilience and coping strategies, resulting in lower anxiety, better emotional regulation.

Academic & behavioral improvements for students when schools provide mental health supports.

Lower downstream costs and crises because preventive education reduces the severity and frequency of mental health crises.

Mission Statement

To deliver free, evidence-based mental health education to communities, schools, and faith-based organizations, reducing barriers to access and promoting equity in mental health knowledge.

Vision Statement

A society where mental health education is universally accessible, stigma-free, and embedded into every community, school, and faith-based system.

Through Small Adjustments Foundation, I'm advancing a mission of empowerment, prevention, and sustainable community well-being.

We will serve primary populations in Alachua County and immediate surrounding counties, focusing especially on groups that are underserved due to income, geography, or limited access to mental health education.

Underserved Community Members: Approximately 19.7% of Alachua County residents live below poverty. The median household income (~ $59,660) with a young median age (~32 years) suggests many families and individuals who may not have reliable access to mental health services due to cost, stigma, or other social determinants.

Faith Leaders & Congregations: The presence of diverse faith communities and a sizable veteran population (~ 6.9%) means there is need and opportunity for training leaders who can act as early responders.

School Staff & Parents: With a large youth population in schools, and a county with demographic diversity, school-based or school-related programming has strong potential for reach and impact.

The Clear Mind Series

The Clear Mind Series is a structured mental health education program designed to help individuals understand how stress affects the brain and body while learning practical skills to improve emotional regulation, decision-making, and resilience.

The series translates neuroscience and behavioral health concepts into accessible, real-world tools that individuals can apply in daily life. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or therapy, the program emphasizes skill development, prevention, and personal empowerment.

Participants learn how stress impacts thinking and behavior and how intentional skills can restore clarity, stability, and healthier responses.

The Clear Mind Series is delivered through workshops, small-group courses, and community trainings.

The Imago Dei Series

The Imago Dei Series is a faith-integrated mental health education program that combines neuroscience-informed principles with Christian spiritual formation. The series helps individuals understand how emotional struggles, stress, and life challenges affect the mind while grounding healing and personal growth in the biblical understanding that every person is created in the image of God (Imago Dei).

The program teaches practical skills for emotional regulation, thought renewal, and resilience while integrating Scripture, reflection, and spiritual practices that support restoration of identity, purpose, and hope.

The Imago Dei Series is designed to help individuals reconnect their faith, mind, and emotional health, equipping participants with tools to navigate stress, grief, anxiety, and relational challenges from both a psychological and spiritual perspective.

The program is delivered through church workshops, small group studies, leadership trainings, and faith-based community programs.
